Just finished the center...I've never done that type of seam, putting the 4 corners together in the middle...had a bit of a problem, then figured it out! no problem at all! I'm loving the way it's turning out, but again, might skip the HST border and use that in another quilt. Will have to buy more fabric, but that's ok!

I'll take a pic of where I am...same place YOU are!! I've got the borders cut out....I'll lay them next to the center and show you! BRB Oh, you said the EXTRA border, didn't you? Not sure yet! Whichever I use, I have to buy more of it!

You guys did a great job....I had decided to switch over to the smaller one ...while reading those instructions and looking at the final outcome, decided I didn't like that one either! Fussy ain't I? LOL So, I am redesigning how I want this thing to come out... I had picked out some focus fabric for the larger one that I really wanted to incorporate in this and still do and there wasn't enuf of it in the final project to suit me...so am hoping I can come up with a design that I will be happy with....all I will be using from this mystery is those 4 original squares!

I don't like big empty areas that you have to figure out how your going to quilt.... so I might go straight setting instead of on point and add the surrounding squares and a border or two!

You ladies are doing great. Love the quilts so far. I ended up not joining you. I was at my son's last night so not anywhere near my stash and machine this morning. Then I went to the LQS and took good advantage of their Super Sunday sale. $1.00 FQs and 50% off on a ton of fabric. So I did my share to stimulate the economy.

I did just download the pdfs of the patterns so maybe I'll to the smaller one with some of the new FQs I purchased.

I'm done for the evening. I've got all my squares for part 7 sewed just have to sew 3 more sides together then add them to the quilt but will do the rest tomorrow. I don't want to overdo. Can't wait to see pictures of everyone's.
Good Night ladies.

I'm done too. I'm changing things up a bit...making an inner border (one of many inner borders!!) out of 2.75 squares. It doesn't fit exact, but I'm making do. I was making this for my dd's roomate, and I don't think she'll care of it's "perfect" or not!! Worse case, I keep it for myself!!
