Well, once I realized and accepted that I won't finish each clue within the hour, I began to relax. I just finished the 9:00 clue!

Morning everyone,
Right now I'm doing the small one in fairy frost fabrics, sticking to their color suggestions closely. I've just finished the HST and am working on the next step now. Just thought I'd check in. This one will be a child's quilt for sure, and I think I'll use a tie dye look fleece for the baking. I thought I'd start with this one in case the day went crazy. I didn't get as much done yesterday as I'd hoped, so I'm farther behind than I'd like to be. But that's life. Once I get this top done, I'm going upstairs sto get some flannel and make a bigger one for myself out of flannels in a bright, but summer theme with butterflies and flowers. Talk to you all later.

I always know it's going to take me longer than when the clues go up. I'm done with step 1 & 2 . Had breakfast and Hubbby interrubtions until he realized it was Sunday and I had told him about sewing all day, he just left so it should be quite now lol.
Here's a picture back to sewing.
P.S. just noticed one of my squares is backwards in the block
and i'm not unsewing it since this is just for me.

Ok! I feel better now! am finishing 2nd clue...BUT, and this is a BIG BUT...my squares are NOT going to finish at 14-1/2! I'll be lucky if they square up at 14!! I don't know what to do...just keep on going and hope for the best??? My head hurts...spinning, and I'm getting frustrated. NOT trying to keep up...like I said, realized that wasn't gonna happen. Wished I had listed to myself and did all my HST yesterday!! That would have saved a LOT of time.

so, what to do about the finished size of the square? I looked at the next clue, and with that border, these squares should be exact. Oh well...I'll figure SOMETHING out!

Well, I looked at the rest of the clues. I think I might skip doing a border of the HST, and just get some more fabric and make another solid inner border. Not sure if I'll do the flange or not, don't have enough fabric for that (I was about 1" short). So, if my squares don't (which they won't) come out the right size, by adding solid borders, I think I'll be ok...after all, it IS MY quilt, right?

I'm now going to go struggle with the center, see if I can figure that part out!

Hope the rest of you doing this are having better luck than I am!

Oh, and I am going to add the 2 extra borders, top and bottom, as suggested to make the quilt longer!

I've decided to switch to the smaller size.... I have the 4 squares done.... and will make the center square and then just add background triangles.. and make a baby quilt out of it....this decision is based on how my colors looked together after I got the 4 squares done....

How is everyone else doing?
