Default Re: DH improved my cutting table big time

My son had an extra table/desk from Ikea that he gave me. The one with the nice top that all totaled would have cost me about $140 if I bought one just like it at Ikea. But it has the adjustable A legs. I was able to adjust to just about 36" and it is great. My previous drop leaf cabinet on casters and my storage drawers all fit underneath this table which is great. I can just slide out the drop leaf cabinet if I need more surface for some reason.

And, the added benefit of it being a hand me down is that my granddaughter had carved a heart in the top when he wasnt' looking. Now I'm reminded of her every time I work at the table.

hey now thats a good idea. i have a table like that also. but i have put the bed risers under. only thing i guess i could use it higher. but i just couldnt think of another idea. the bad thing about the bed risers is when u gotta move the table u gota move each one just right. whata pain.lol but glad someone thought of another idea. did your husband glue the pvc pipe to it?

thats a really good idea that i might want to try. good idea.

Some of you must be SO tall!! LOL Little short here! My cutting table is 30" and if it was any higher I would have a tough time cutting! LOL

Patsy--I'm short by most standards--5 ft 2 but when it comes to cutting and pressing I go for near 36" heights. That's when my back thanks me and it has the top priority. Arms have learned to adjust.
